Guide For Using Tixlab’s Platform (Alpha Test)

As part of the Polkadot accelerator program run by Encode Club, we are building a decentralised events platform, where event organisers can define their rules when publishing an event, and ticket buyers can safely buy tickets without having to worry about fraud. This project first started in hackathons by Encode Club, where we’ve emerged as the first place winner in the Astar Challenge (Polkadot Hack) and as the overall winner in the NFT Hack (Filecoin).

We are iterating on the product development, and would now like to release the alpha version (with very limited features) to users for testing. Try and get a ticket to an event, and leave us some feedback! We would appreciate it.

First of all, make sure you have metamask installed as a browser extension. Then, navigate to Tixlab’s platform. Connect your wallet and switch to the Rinkeby Testnet. Then, try purchasing a ticket for any of the events currently available on the platform. Each ticket should cost 0.01 ETH. You could obtain some test ETH from the Chainlink faucet.

To connect your Metamask, click on “Connect” at the top right corner.

You would be able to see your purchase ticket when you click on “My Tickets”. If you would like to see the ticket in your Metamask browser extension too, click on “Import Tokens” and paste the contract address (0x2765fA39fC1d46C9e4ea3D136D1B82F0684FDBEa). Token decimal is zero. Each ticket is represented as a non-fungible token (NFT) on our platform.

Viewing the token in your Metamask wallet.

Play around on the platform, and we would appreciate if you could provide us some feedback in terms of user’s experience! The feedback form: https://forms.gle/mXmbwgvYVLvwJ1nv6

Thank you!
